(RO) În cadrul unui proiect editorial FILIT 2022, Muzeul Național al Literaturii Române Iași a invitat zece autori români să scrie cîte o povestire inspirată de o fotografie, la alegere, din timpul Pogromului de la Iași – iunie 1941.
Actualul volum valorifică potențialul literar al fotografiilor de atunci, cu accent pe emoțiile stîrnite astăzi de acestea. Imaginația scriitorilor din prezent atrage atenția asupra realității din trecut, fără să-și aroge dreptul de a dezvălui ori înlocui adevărul istoric. Orice asemănare între persoane reale și personajele din povestiri este întîmplătoare.
Mulțumim Institutului Național pentru Studierea Holocaustului din România „Elie Wiesel” pentru acordul de a reproduce în carte fotografiile-document care i-au inspirat pe cei zece scriitori.
(EN) As part of an editorial project for FILIT 2022, the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Iași invited ten Romanian authors to each write a story inspired by a photograph of their choosing, taken during the Iași Pogrom of June 1941.
The resulting volume highlights the literary potential of photographs taken during that time, placing an emphasis on the emotions which they can invoke nowadays. The imagination of contemporary writers can draw our attention towards the realities of the past, without claiming any right to unveil or replace the historical truth. Any resemblance between real persons and the characters of these stories is coincidental.
We give thanks to the „Elie Wiesel” National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania for the rights to print the document-photographs which inspired the ten writers of this book.
