Invitatul ședinței cu numărul 8 a atelierelor de lectură este Sudeep Sen (n. 1964, New Delhi, India), poet și editor indian de limbă engleză recunoscut la nivel internațional ca fiind o voce foarte importantă a noii generații din literatura lumii și „unul dintre cei mai buni poeți de limbă engleză de pe scena internațională de poezie” (BBC Radio), „fascinat nu doar de limbaj, ci și de posibilitățile acestuia” (Scotland on Sunday).
A luat premiul Pleiade la Festivalul de poezie de la Struga-Macedonia, pentru „contribuția foarte importantă adusă poeziei lumii”. Dintre cărțile sale de poezie premiate selectăm: Postmarked India: New & Selected Poems (HarperCollins), Rain, Aria (A. K. Ramanujan Translation Award), Fractals: New & Selected Poems | Translations 1980-2015 (London Magazine Editions), EroText (Vintage: Penguin Random House), Kaifi Azmi: Poems | Nazms (Bloomsbury), Anthropocene: Climate Change, Contagion, Consolation (Pippa Rann, 2021-22 Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize winner) și Red (Nirox Foundation, 2023).
Printre cele mai importante antologii editate de el sunt: The HarperCollins Book of English Poetry (editor), World English Poetry, Modern English Poetry by Younger Indians (Sahitya Akademi) și Converse: Contemporary English Poetry by Indians (Pippa Rann). Blue Nude: Ekphrasis & New Poems (Jorge Zalamea International Poetry Prize) și The Whispering Anklets sunt în curs de apariție. Este director editorial la revistele AARK ARTS și Atlas; de curând a câștigat o bursă ca scriitor rezident la Nirox Foundation (South Africa).
Poezia lui Sen a fost tradusă în peste 25 de limbi. A publicat în Times Literary Supplement, Newsweek, Guardian, Observer, Independent, Telegraph, Financial Times, Herald, Poetry Review, Literary Review, Harvard Review, Hindu, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Indian Express, Outlook, India Today și a avut emisiuni la BBC, PBS, CNN-IBN, NDTV și Air&Doordarshan.
Este și fotograf profesionist, reprezentat de ArtMbassy, Roma [http://www.artmbassy.com/artists.html]. Guvernul indian l-a premiat cu o bursă superioară pentru „persoane deosebite din zona culturii/literaturii”. Este primul asiatic invitat să citească la decernarea premiilor Nobel.
Antologia Lemn Plutitor (Driftwood), poeme vechi și noi (1978-2018) a apărut în România, în traducerea semnată de Antuza Genescu, la Editura Bibliotecii Județene Timiș (2018).

The Government of India awarded him the senior fellowship for “senior fellowship persons in the field of culture/literature.” Sen is the first Asian honoured to deliver the Derek Walcott Lecture and read at the Nobel Laureate Festival.
